Tasting notes:

High layer wine, of color Cherry red. Very elegant in nose highlighting spicy and fine woods very expressive notes with a touch of very ripe fruit compote. A wide wine mouth with great structure, well-rounded tannins but communicates a high capacity for evolution. The palate is broad tanica, juicy and fine expression. It is a, long in mouth, meaty and with great potential for bottle aging complex wine.

Development and aging:

Wine made from grapes Tempranillo 90%, Mazuelo, Graciano and Garnacha 10% from high-quality plots located in Rioja Alavesa and harvested manually. After a cold maceration, alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Aging is carried out in new barrels where it remains an average of 22 months , Subject to manual racking every 4 months or so. Before bottling the wine is clarified for greater clarity, silkiness and shine. bottled wine acquires required roundness for about 2 years in which more fully reach its previously to go to market

Curiosities :

The winery Vina Real de Laguardia, designed by French architect Philippe Mazieres consists of three buildings, the main of which is built in red cedar and shaped tub. Natural light, the caves dug to store wine and cutting-edge technology - with the use of gravity, installation of the first vertical hopper in Spain - define this monumental work.

Vineyards in the Sierra de Cantabria steep fall towards the Ebro basin. The mountains protect this Rioja Alavesa where the Atlantic climate combined with clay soils and calcareous.
