Production and Aging:
Alma de Acos was born from the need to maintain the high quality of ACOS, the parent wine. The wine comes from the youngest Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) vines from the vineyards on the Acos hill, the product of a careful selection of its barrels in La Horra, Burgos, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero. Even though it is a second wine, its quality is far superior to many crianzas and the bottles can be kept for a few years, thus improving its softness and texture. Aging is 10 months in French oak barrels.
