CATA's notes:
- Color: High layer of red tones and dark cherry background.
- Nose: Intense, very elegant, finely spiced, with black fruits and some red notes. Black plums, fine chocolate and sweet spices appear. The freshness of the plum bone area emerges from the bottom. Delicious and comfortable nose, an aromatic composition that you never get tired of smelling.
- Mouth: Ample volume, with intensity and delicacy at the same time, with a silky and caressing touch. Important retronasal route. The black plum and chocolate stand out in the mouth, with some red and fresh notes, all in a perfect state of ripeness. It is a delicately fresh wine without losing warmth and very elegant.
Production and Aging
Roda I Reserva is a wine made with Tempranillo from vines over 30 years old, fermented in wooden vats. Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, 50% are new barrels and the rest are wine barrels. Once clarified
with egg white, the wine rests for a minimum of 20 months in the bottle. Numbered bottles.
Curiosities
Roda controls twenty vineyards distributed in the best ecosystems in the area, of which the best are made every year.
In Roda, wines from other years are never used to standardize or refresh a vintage. Nor are vinifications from other wineries purchased.
In All winemaking is done in French oak vats with temperature control. In addition, the aging is carried out 100% in French oak barrels.
