TASTING NOTES
- Appearance: Straw yellow colour with greenish reflections.
- Nose: Aromas of white flowers, stone fruit and candied citrus.
- Palate: Notes of peach, pear and white flowers that flow into a mineral background with hints of pastry.
ELABORATION
100% Sauvignon Blanc variety.
Fermentation with indigenous yeasts in French oak barrels.
The wine gains complexity for 4-5 months before aging in barrels.
It ages next to its fine lees for 15 months.
CURIOSITIES
Cloudy Bay owes its name to the particularly cloudy bay, located at the eastern end of the Wairau Valley, named after Captain Cook.
