CURIOSITIES
Bodegas José Pariente is Family, land, excellence and passion for wine. The history of this winery dates back to Don José Pariente, whose passion for more than forty years was to cultivate the Verdejo variety to make artisanal wines. He practiced meticulous viticulture and believed in his land, in quality and in the pleasure of making wine. Her desire, to produce great white wines, is the objective of the current winery, which her daughter Victoria Pariente created in 1998.
The first documents that mention wine production in the area date back to the eleventh century. The impetus of the monastic orders and the proximity to important cities of medieval Castile favoured the cultivation of vines. This development culminated in 1600, in the middle of the Spanish Golden Age, when the golden wines of the Rueda Designation of Origin achieved great prestige.
