ELABORATION

The Atlantic freshness and minerality of a pure Godello, defined and full of flavors born in the rugged geography of Valdeorras, concentrated in a wine made by Payment of the Chaplains with its means, its philosophy and its personnel. O Luar do Sil is a Complex and smooth white on lees, with an aroma of green fruits and fresh, mineral and intense flavors that has everything to make us fall in love.

CURIOSITIES

Pago de los Capellanes is in the heart of the Ribera del Duero, located just one kilometer from Pedrosa de Duero, a town in Burgos where some of the best grapes in the entire Ribera are found.

Originally, there were barely a few thousand vines on the farm, in the traditional glass shape. The Rodero-Villa couple, together with an exceptional team, and betting on their particular way of conceiving wine, have achieved that today the Pago de los Capellanes has 100 hectares of their own vineyard, trellised, surrounding the winery, combining varieties such as Tempranillo (or Tinto Fino), Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and fulfilling a dream that dates back to 1980.

The small production allows the best quality control of the product, as well as the personalized follow-up of all the bottled batches. In Pago de los Capellanes we only allow 5,000 kg of grapes/ha, below the 7,000 that the Ribera del Duero Regulatory Council allows, betting on the quality of our raw material.

This is how our range of wines was born, which today reaches the market with the Pago de los Capellanes seal. Very personal red wines, fruit of tranquility, affection and patience.
