CATA'S NOTES:

• View: Color bright violet red .
• Nose: It is very expressive, with a great intensity of red fruit, with notes of the undergrowth and a mineral touch . Very complete set of aromas integrated into the wood.
• Mouth: On the palate it is fresh and fruity with lush tannins. . Balance between fruit and acidity. It has a persistent finish marked by its finesse.

ELABORATION:
Elaborate either with a 90% Tinto Fino, 5% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon from vineyards planted at between 860 and 930 meters of altitude within the municipality of Castrillo de Duero (Valladolid), near the border with the province of Burgos. Aged for 3 months in concrete tanks, followed by 16 more months in French oak barrels.

Montecastro It is the project of some friends who in 2000 joined forces to make their dream come true: to make quality wines in the heart of the Ribera del Duero. It is a winery that began its career with the support of French winemaker Bertrand Erhard and that ended up awakening the interest of the same Peter Sisseck . That is why since 2012, the winery group of the prestigious expert, Hacienda Monasterio is the technical person in charge of its new creations. . A range of fresh and highly elegant wines of international recognition.
Wine from Ribera del Duero that year after year changes the blend depending on the quality of the grapes from the property's estates, with the country's red or Tempranillo variety predominating. This variety comes from vineyards with very different ages, from 6 to more than 100 years old. Vinification is carried out in thermoregulated concrete tanks, with cold maceration for 2 or 3 days, with spontaneous fermentation and maceration of 15 days approximately.
