Intense dark cherry red color, high robe. Abundant tears that stain the cup. On the nose, very good aromatic intensity, with good, slightly marked toasted notes and light fruity notes. Aerating it, the ripe black fruit gains a lot of intensity, becoming the protagonist together with dairy, subtle floral touches and some pleasant balsamic aromas. In the mouth good entry. Fresh, very tasty, sweet and intense, with a silky mid palate. Good tannins still to finish polishing and correct acidity. Long finish with fruity aftertaste.
Production and Aging
Prepared jointly by Ricardo Perez Palacios , son of Chelo Palacios, and his cousin Alvaro Palacios , well known for its Priorat wines. Together they have created this small winery in Corullón, in the heart of El Bierzo. They have several small plots where they grow the typical mencia .
Made with Mencía selected from their vineyards. Fermentation is carried out with the whole grape, including the stem, and maceration with skins. brief step by French oak barrels for 10 months .

Álvaro Palacios, promoter of the Priorat and author of wines as singular as L'Ermita or Finca Dofí, here bets on the expression of the most "atlantic" terroir of Castilla, El Bierzo, and on the Mencía grape. Along with his nephew, Ricardo Pérez, he has signed up for biodynamic viticulture and is producing some of the most important wines ever produced in Spain. Descendientes de J.
