Viñas del Vero Chardonnay comes from Pago Lapiedra. These are 30-year-old vines planted in shallow, frank and low fertility soils, located at an altitude of between 350 and 450 metres above sea level. They use traditional agriculture and the grapes are harvested by hand when they reach optimum ripeness.
TASTING NOTE:
View: bright straw yellow, clean and greenish iridescence.
Nose: intense and clean aromas of ripe tropical fruits such as pineapple, banana, guava, mango.
Palate: pleasant and expressive, tasty, dense, structured, round, enveloping, long and persistent.
VINIFICATION: The Chardonnay is harvested in the early morning in August, at its optimum point of ripeness. The sanitary state of the clusters was impeccable, so they were able to macerate the must with its skins for a long time so that it could be enriched in flavor and aromas. Subsequently, the maceration vat was drained, and the flower must was fermented separately to give rise to the wine we can now enjoy. After being filtered, the wine was bottled in the last week of October.
