Tasting Notes:
- Color : Intense purple tones, with a thin cardinal border, very covered with a coat, clean and shiny.
- Nose : Franco, very intense and complex, with lively aromas of ripe black fruit; Blackberry and blackberry jam with elegant balsamic lavender background, in balance with the tertiary aromas from the barrel aging, highlighting cloves and black pepper spices, fine chocolate, roasted and licorice.
- Mouth : Live skeleton of sweet tannins, balanced with an elegant alcoholic warmth. The same aromas still exist in the nose, repeating an excellent complexity with a very long harmonious, persistent, warm and silky finish.
Elaboration and Aging:
Elaborated with Tinta de Toro grapes from poor soils with a sandy texture. Centennial plant on free foot of Tinta de Toro variety. Density 1,100 plants per hectare. Age, planted around 1930. Driving in glass. Maximum load of 3,000 kg. Per hectare. Located in the basin of the river Duero in an area with Mediterranean climate with continental influences and an altitude of 650 m above sea level.
The aging is 16 months in barrels.
