TASTING NOTES

Appearance: Mature cherry colour with a high layer.
Nose: Intense, suggestive and complex. Aromas of black fruits, clove spices and nutmeg, tobacco leaf, notes of thyme and rosemary.
Palate: Wide and generous entry. Expressive with flavors of black fruits and notes of scrubland and sweet spices. Fresh, delicate and persistent memory.

ELABORATION

100% Tinta de Toro variety.
Vendimia manual.
Selection of the bunches both in the vineyard and in the winery.
Tread 2 times a day during the first 10 days of maceration.
Cold pre-fermentation maceration for 5 days.
Prolonged maceration with skins for 24 days.
Malolactic fermentation in new French barrels.
Aged for 22 months in new French oak barrels with racking every 4 months.

CURIOSITIES

Located in the town of Valdefinjas (Zamora), Bodega Numanthia was founded by the Eguren brothers from La Rioja in 1998. The purpose of Marcos and Miguel Eguren was to obtain the best wine from Toro. In 2008, shortly after its 2004 Termanthia scored 100 Parker points, the winery became part of the French group LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy).

Numanthia wines are a treat for the present, a magnificent memory of the past and an exciting palate for the future.
