TASTING NOTES

• Appearance: Cherry red with bluish tones.

• Nose: Intense aromas of black fruits (blackberry and plum) and blue flowers (violet), with spicy nuances of coconut, vanilla and cloves.

• Palate: Ample and fresh, structured and elegant. Lively tannins with tones of black licorice, and a long finish full of aromatic sensations.

 
ELABORATION

Made with 100% Tempranillo.
Selection of the best vineyards from Pedrosa de Duero, La Horra and Gumiel del Mercado, with an average age of 25 years and clay-calcareous soil, very poor in fertility and low production.
Pre-fermentation cold maceration for 6 days below 10º C.
Sowing of selected native yeasts.
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
Spontaneous malolactic fermentation at low temperature and periodic stirring of the lees in tanks.

TASTING NOTES

• It is  bright lemony yellow in colour, with greenish reflections.
• Nose: Intensely fruity aroma, with aromas of fennel, floral, scrub and an aniseed background, some notes of tropical fruits. Elegant, fresh and persistent.
• On the palate it is equally fruity and fresh. Unctuous, sweet and with a touch of bitterness at the end, which gives it the elegance characteristic of the Verdejo variety.

ELABORATION

José Pariente Verdejo is produced by Bodegas José Pariente, located in the town of La Seca (Valladolid), with D.O. Rueda. 100% Verdejo grape variety. First, cold maceration was carried out between 12 and 24 hours. After pneumatic pressing, alcoholic fermentation took place, at low temperature, in stainless steel tanks; The wine remained on its fine lees for a further 17 days. After racking and clarification, it was subjected to cold treatment and filtration.
