TASTING NOTES

Colour: Vivid pinkish colour.
Nose: Aromas of fresh red fruit accompanied by light smoky notes, blackthorn, spices and white peach.
Palate: Long, balanced and complex. Persistent aftertaste of fine wood.

ELABORATION

Made with Grenache and Tempranillo.
Manual harvesting in 200 kg crates.
Small maceration in the tank and subsequent bleeding in the traditional way.
Fermentation in French oak barrels.
Aged for 9-12 months in the same barrels with its own lees.

CURIOSITIES

Chivite was founded as a winery in 1647 and is one of the dynasties with the longest history in Spain. The Colección 125 range was launched in 1985 in commemoration of the 125th anniversary of Chivite's first export, in 1860.
