CATA'S NOTES
ELABORATION
Made from Tempranillo grapes at full maturity with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon, through a long and careful maceration.
The vineyard is planted on calcareous soils more suitable for this crop on the Palacio Quemado estate, subjected to a continental climate with slight influences from the Atlantic winds.
It has remained in French and American oak barrels for more than 9 months.
CURIOSITIES
Since 2010, the winery has made a change in its philosophy, modifying both the work in the vineyard and the production of its wines. Since that vintage, its winemakers are the Envínate group, led by Roberto Santana, known for the wines of Las Suertes del Marqués de Canarias, Alfonso Torrente, a former winemaker from Calzadilla, Laura Ramos and José Ángel Martínez.
In addition, since January 2015 it is part of Grandes Pagos de España, the prestigious association of wine estates from all over Spain that defend and propagate the culture of Pago wine, produced in a specific terroir and that reflects the unmistakable personality of its soil, its subsoil and its climate.
