Patriarch Livio Felluga, who passed away in December 2016 at the age of 102, represented the fourth generation of a family dedicated to wine that began by cultivating Refosco and Malvasia and running a trattoria in Isola d'Istria.
After the war, Livio acquired the first hectares of vineyards in Rosazzo, which today is one of the best wine-growing areas in the region and Livio is considered the patriarch of viticulture and winemaking in the region.
Currently, Livio Falliga's property extends over more than 160 hectares of hills in the Collio and Colli Orientali of Friuli, with 155 hectares planted with vineyards.
