El Terrazo D.O.P. Wine is a Pago wine that also has its own designation of origin. It is a unique wine that develops its quality on a few hectares of land under very special conditions. There are 126.63 hectares around the estate, divided into a single Pago. The average altitude of El Terrerazo is 850 metres and the climate is strictly continental, with little rainfall and large temperature differences, making it a unique environment that is transferred to the wines. The production area of the wines protected by the El Terrerazo estate wine is located about 6.8 km from the town of Utiel, in the interior of the province of Valencia, equidistant from the Mediterranean Sea and the town of Teruel, characterized by its extreme and harsh climate. Therefore we find a Mediterranean climate with sunny days in a normally rainy spring. The summer is dry and very hot, very sunny in the middle of the day, with a marked increase in daytime temperatures (average maximum temperature of 28ºC in July and 31ºC in August). The nights are very cool and pleasant. Winter has continental tones, with very cold days and almost constant winds from Aragon. This is confirmed by the average minimum temperatures of -1.3ºC and -1ºC for January and February. The area lies at an altitude of 790 metres on the banks of the Magro and 870 metres in the highest part, to the north, at the foot of the Sierra de Utiel.
