The history of wine in Mallorca dates back to the 7th and 6th centuries BC. At the time of the arrival on the island and the subsequent domination of the Roman Empire, the vine was introduced, its cultivation spread and the wine-growing activity reached great importance.

Since the 1990s, the wine sector has been committed to improving quality, devoting greater dedication to cultivation and strengthening and renovating wineries. In recent years, there has been a commitment to rescue and protect the island's native grape varieties, which make Mallorca's wines unique and singular.
