TASTING NOTES

• View: Intense ruby with garnet reflections.
• Nose: Fragrant, complex, with a wide range of fruity and spicy aromas, from red and black fruit to spices such as black pepper and balsamic and lightly toasted touches.
• Palate: Opulent and intense, with a volume and texture that are shelled in round and polished tannins, balanced by a freshness and very pleasant fleshy sensations. The finish is persistent and leaves delicious fruity and spicy memories on the palate.

 
ELABORATION

Made with 100% Syrah.
Manual harvest.
Cooling of the grapes in a cold room with subsequent selection at the table.
De-stemming prior to fermentation and maceration in open 500-litre barrels for 15 days.
Aged for 20 months in French oak barrels of 500 litres.

CURIOSITIES

Uvas Felices was born from the association of several renowned winemakers in Spain. Its objective is to join forces to present wines from different Spanish regions and protected under the mantle of the distributor Uvas Felices.

In Uvas Felices they were very impressed by the quality of the wines of the Castaño winery and asked that they bottle exclusively for them.

In 2004 Uvas Felices and the Castaño family acquired Las Gateras, which today has grown to 49 hectares and is planted mostly with monastrell, syrah and garnacha tintorera.
