TASTING NOTES
- Appearance: Cherry red colour.
- Nose: Aromas of red fruits and wild flowers, accompanied by hints of undergrowth on a mineral background.
- Palate: Intense and elegant with balsamic and mineral notes.
ELABORATION
Varieties: Mencía (90%), Garnacha Tintorera (9%), white grapes (1%).
Destemmed and vinified with native yeasts.
Fermented in stainless steel.
Aged for 3 months in new barrels.
Bottled by hand with light filtration.
Production: 912 bottles.
CURIOSITIES
In 2014 the brothers Juan and Carlos Rodríguez joined forces with Fredi Torres, in love with the Ribeira Sacra, to bring out all the good that the spectacular vertical vineyards of the so-called "Heroic Viticulture" can give. This is how Sílice Viticultores was born, wines that respond to a free work, without manipulation in the winery, with respect and care for their vineyards.
