Eric Bordelet Poiré Authentique is a natural cider, which hides a refreshing fruit juice that impresses with its great gastronomic character. It is a semi-dry cider, with a pleasant residual sugar content, which makes it a very versatile cider for pairing. It is the traditional cuvée of the natural pear cider made by Eric Bordelet in the Normandy region. The Poiré Authentique vintage comes from no less than 14 different pear varieties.
TASTING NOTES:
Apperance: Fabulous yellow colour, very bright with fine bubbles.
Nose: Very precise aromatic structure of pear and white flowers.
Palate: Smooth, elegant and fresh on the palate. In addition, the creamy texture of the bubbles, its good acidity and taste of pears.
APPELLATION OF ORIGIN: Normandy, France.
WINEMAKING: Made from more than 15 types of pear varieties.
CURIOSITIES: Poiré Granit is a cider made from pears and is the sublime expression of trees planted in granite soils that have never been sprayed. There is a saying that a fruit tree needs 100 years to grow, 100 years to bear fruit and 100 years to die. This cider can be perfectly treated as a great wine as it has an amazing minerality and structure.
