CURIOSITIES: Bodegas y Viñedos Artazu was founded in 1996 with 10 hectares of vineyards in the village of the same name in Navarre. Belonging to the Artadi group of wineries, it is a project in which the oenologist Juan Carlos López de Lacalle shows the great possibilities of the native Garnacha grape variety.
Santa Cruz de Artazu Blanco comes from vineyards located between 450 and 600 metres above sea level on white clay-limestone soil. Organic viticulture is practised, respecting the environment and without the use of pesticides and herbicides. Yields are limited to 2,500 kg/ha and the grapes are harvested by hand in 15 kg crates.
