CURIOSITIES
The Virgen del Galir winery is located in Éntoma, a small town in Orense, it has been part of the CVNE family since 2018.
The Galir Valley is part of the D.O. Valdeorras, and the philosophy of the winery is based on the production of wines that reflect the values of the land and respect for local traditions, starting with its name, which is a tribute to the Virgen del Galir, the protector of the vineyards of the region.
In recent years, several vineyards have been replanted and recovered in the Val de Galir and Val de Bibei to produce a complete range of villa, plot and grand cru wines. Thus, the white wines of Virgen del Galir are made with grapes from the Val de Galir, an area with a lot of slate and plots with high altitude. On the other hand, red wines are harvested on granite soils, both in the Val de Galir and the plots of Val de Bibei.
