Moscatel Iberia is a sweet wine made 100% with Muscatel de Alejandria grape , with Denomination of Origin Malaga. The harvested grapes come from the Western Region and the Axarquia, both in the province of Malaga. It elaborates Bodegas Malaga Virgen , founded by Salvador Lopez Lopez in Fuente de Piedra, Malaga, in 1885.
The grapes are harvested at their optimum ripeness point. They are despalled and cold maceration is carried out to obtain their aroma. Next, the must with pneumatic press is obtained. The fermentation phase is carried out at a controlled temperature with the addition of alcohol. Maturation takes place in American oak barrels for a period of 6 months.
At sight it shows dark amber color with mahogany reflections. The smell is intense, with the predominant aroma of Muscat grapes. The palate is unctuous and sweet without becoming cloying, with a long and intense finish. It is advisable to taste it at a temperature of between 6º and 8º, especially next to desserts of chocolate, fruit and cheese. Graduation: 15 degrees of alcohol.
