TASTING NOTES

  • Appearance: Faint bluish ruby color.
  • Bouquet: Aromas of currant, English rose and laurel.
  • Palate: Fresh, agile and firm. Long and persistent finish.

 
ELABORATION

Made 100% with Grenache.
Manual harvest in boxes of 18 Kg.
Made with native yeasts.
Fermentation of 28 days in aerial cement with 1 manual punching every day.
Aging of 7 months in underground cement.

CURIOSITIES

Fernando Mora and Mario López come together to make wine together in 2008, and in this way in 2010 Frontonio was born, a different wine that marks the potential of these special vineyards.

In 2013 Jesus Solanas encouraged them to continue making parcel wines and bottles later the winery was born.

The winery consists of a house with an underground cave of about 200 years (3 levels) that allows them to work by gravity and handle the grapes with great delicacy, in addition to benefiting from perfect temperature and humidity conditions for aging.

After a major refurbishment, they can process about 70,000 kilos of grapes and age almost 50,000 litres of wine in various containers: cement, oak foudres and barrels of different sizes up to 600 litres (demi-muid).

Although this is where the wines aged since 2017, 2019 is the first vintage that has been made entirely in the new winery and in which we have been able to vinify all the plots separately. There are 45 wines in total with which different blends are made.
