Tasting notes:
- Color: Cherry color, garnet edge.
- Nose: Red fruit, ripe fruit, spicy, creamy oak, complex.
- Palate: A fresh and friendly entry, confirming the fruity sensations of the olfactory phase. Balanced, with a sweet tannin and well integrated wood.
Elaboration and Ageing:Produced with 90% Tempranillo grapes, and receives a small contribution of 10% Merlot grapes from the Monte Alto estate. It has remained 12 months in French and American oak barrels.
Curiosities:The location of the Monte Alto estate is precisely one of the peculiarities of this wine project. Although it is only 4 kilometres from the Duero River, its location in the valley of the Jaramiel stream, at an altitude of almost 900 metres, gives it very particular geoclimatic characteristics which make Montebaco an "island" within the prestigious denomination.
