Tasting Note:
  • Bright tile colour.
  • On the nose it is a fragrant, tempting, complex wine that will continue to evolve in the bottle for many more years. It shows balanced tones of spices and nuts.
  • On the palate it is elegant and attractive to start with, and then becomes a complex leather and tobacco finish.

Elaboration and aging:
Powerful, tasty and mature, this well-balanced wine has another 30 years of life ahead of it. (Robert Parker) It was aged for 29 months in 225 litre American oak barrels, of which at least 10 months were in new barrels and a minimum of 3 years in the bottle before being released. The grapes are hand-picked from an excellent vintage in Pago de la Plana, located in the highest area of Finca Ygay.
