Tasting note:
View: Intense amber with green reflections.
Nose: On the nose it shows aromas of stone fruits, especially white fruits, melon, but also spices such as vanilla and cloves.
Mouth: Remarkable acidity that balances the pronounced sweetness. Medium weight, and a long and spicy finish with clear hints of citrus and elegant bitterness.
Elaboration:
varieties of grape : Berries of Aszú: 100% Furmint, Must base and wine: 100% Furmint.
Each batch of aszú berries is vinified separately. Most of the berries are macerated without crushing in an active fermentation must for two days. The rest of the aszú berries were gently squeezed and soaked in fresh wine at the end of its fermentation for 12 hours. After a long pressing, fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats or oak barrels until early December.
Breeding:
The wine is aged for two years in 225-litre oak barrels, 10% in new oak and 90% in oak barrels from various vintages.
Curiosities:
“The Disznókő estate owes its name to the Disznókő vineyard, first recorded in 1413. The name Disznókő means "boar stone", referring to a large volcanic rock that lies at the heart of the vineyard or, according to some geographers, to the shape of the hill where the vineyards are planted. Since AXA Millésimes acquired the property in 1992, the estate has grouped a series of contiguous historic vineyards around the winery. formerly owned by Aristocratic families for centuries, these vineyards are famous for their remarkable terroirs that produce great wines. Thanks to its know-how and experience, Disznókő is recognized today as being at the forefront of the renaissance of great Tokaj wines.”
