ELABORATION:

CURIOSITIES:

San Cobate is a young winery created in 2016 by Antonio Vázquez Muñoz-Calero, although in the same location already in the middle of the 11th century, the Benedictine monks built the monastery of San Cucufate in the vicinity of the farm, where they planted the first hawthorns in this privileged land. The current vineyards were in the 11th century the farmland of the monastery. With the aim of ensuring that the expression of each plot becomes a wine, they have classified the estate into four very well differentiated plots, they have created terraces in the style of the Portuguese "Douro", and they only elaborate in a traditional way and without haste.
