Una apuesta segura para los amantes de los Ribera, nunca falla

Excepcional, sedoso, con cuerpo pero no es fuerte. Me encanta tanto solo como acompañando un filete con foie o una buena carne al punto. Una gozada

CATA's notes:

  • in sight a color ruby with intense garnet tones, very clean.
  • In nose It is finely complex, with tones of ripe fruit, especially cherry, currant, cassis, in harmony with the tones of good wood, spices (vanilla, coconut) and a background of licorice.
  • In mouth It presents a great balance, with a tasty mid palate, greedy due to the maturity of its tannins and cheerful at the same time due to its good acidity. Broad finish with aromatic nuances that continue in a fine and elegant aftertaste.

Production and Aging:

Born from the oldest vines located in Pedrosa de Duero and offers the pleasure of time. Its grace arises from old and high-class vineyards in the heart of the Ribera del Duero. vines of tempranillo of over 80 years on clayey-calcareous, stony soils with very poor fertility and low production.
Breeding: 14 months in extra-fine grain French oak barrels, with a capacity of 225 liters.

Curiosities:

In the fifteenth century, the chaplains of Pedrosa de Duero, in the Burgos Ribera, obtained several vineyards as payment for tithes, masses and prayers. That property became over time one of the most recognized payments of the town. An authentic jewel of local viticulture, which the neighbors baptized with a name directly related to its origin.
After the confiscations of the 19th century, the famous vineyard of the chaplains of Pedrosa was distributed among several families in the town. Decades later we find a modest farmer, Dorothy Rodero , taking care of some of those hawthorns. In his role as a medical practitioner, Doroteo was someone very loved in the town. It is said that after spending the day in the vineyard he would visit his patients, to whom he devoted all the care and attention.
