Peter Sisseck, winemaker and agronomist with extensive experience gained in Bordeaux, has managed, with only 5 ha. of land and 150 barrels for aging the wine, to create the incredibly powerful and elegant Dominio de Pingus, or simply "Pingus" as it is usually called. The production is very limited and the demand high which has made it a wine legend worldwide.
It was the Pingus 1995 the first to be put on the market by the winery Dominio de Pingus, and the first to get 98 Robert Parker, quickly becoming a cult wine. Pingus was the first Spanish wine placed between the top of the famous Parker list.
Pingus finally reached the top of the category with Pingus 2004 when it obtained the coveted 100 Parker, one of the first 5 Spanish wines that have achieved the highest score and that fired his world price. This time with Pingus 2011 has almost reached again the top of the category.
