Intense red cherry, lots of color load which is a characteristic of Pesquera wines. High color layer, which gives this wine a wonderful color. In nose intense aromas of black fruit, woods in a very subtle way leaving center stage to the fruit, spices reminiscent of black pepper, secondary aromas take on their role in an elegant way. In mouth is sublime, reminds again of the fruit previously found in the nose, long, elegant, full-bodied, full of life and in turn ready to drink.
Production and Aging
Pesquera wines are always made from whole, destemmed fruits. The maceration, at a controlled temperature, lasts two to three weeks. After pressed without clarifying, the wine goes straight to a wise and subtle combination of American, Spanish and French barrels with different toast levels. The barrels are always renewed to obtain a high quality wine. It is in the barrel where it gets the roundness of flavor and aroma that reaches the mouth and becomes elegance.
The wine remains on the oak barrels for 16, 24, or 36 months, depending on the type of wine. Then it is bottled where it remains some more months acquiring its full flavor.
