San Cobate is a red wine from Ribera del Duero made from Tinta Fina grapes. It is a fine wine, full of nuances and sensations. This wine is made with a careful selection in the vineyard of clusters from four areas of the estate, very interesting for the differences between them in altitude, orientation and soil.
TASTING NOTES:

DENOMINATION OF ORIGIN: Ribera del Duero.
WINEMAKING: Made from 100% Tempranillo grapes.
AGEING: Slow and gentle ageing of about 16 months in Austrian and French oak barrels.
CURIOSITIES: San Cobate is a young winery created in 2016 by Antonio Vázquez Muñoz-Calero, although the Benedictine monks built the monastery of San Cucufate in the vicinity of the estate in the middle of the 11th century, where they planted the first grapevines in this privileged land. In the 11th century, the current vineyards were the monastery's cultivation lands. In order to ensure that the expression of each plot materialises in a wine, they have classified the estate into four very well differentiated plots, they have created terraces in the style of the Portuguese "Douro", and they only make wine in a traditional and unhurried way.
