Tasting Notes:
- Color very pale pink, almost transparent.
- On the nose, aromas of white peach, roses and fine woods.
- In the mouth it is a smooth and unctuous wine in the attack. In the middle of the mouth it is delicate to end with a calcareous acidity typical of the terroir from which it comes.
Elaboration and Breeding:Bertrand Sourdais, oenologist and owner of Bodegas Antídoto, set out to create one of the best rosés in Spain, with nothing to envy of the reputations of his native France, and he achieved this with
Le Rosé de Antídoto. The firm's star wine, based in San Esteban de Gormaz, stands out for the notable influence of its original vineyard: La Casilla, a terroir with calcareous soils located at an altitude of 1,100 metres above sea-level. The careful elaboration, which includes the direct pressing of the whole bunches, in the style of Champagne, and the fermentation and aging in new French oak barrels, results in a magnificent rosé from Ribera del Duero at the level of the largest in its category.
Bodegas Antídoto is one of the most interesting firms in the Soria part of Ribera. Born in 2010 from the joint initiative of Bertrand Sourdais (co-founder of Dominio de Atauta) and David Hernando, it makes great wines, dominated by the red wine Fino (Tempranillo) and distinguished by its own personality and well defined as this Le Rosé de Antídoto 2017 that we propose.
