Tasting Note:
Appearance: beautiful ruby red color, clean and bright.
Aroma: rich and complex aromas of black truffle, wild fruits, memories of black licorice and spicy aromas like clove and cinnamon.
Palate: a very balanced wine in the mouth. Unctuous, silky and very pleasant.
Elaboration and aging
The grapes come from old Tinto Fino vineyards, located on clay-limestone slopes with yields of around 2,000 kilos, and Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from the La Planta estate.
Harvest in boxes, with a selection table, destemming, vatting with hardly any need for a pump, alcoholic fermentation in a wooden tank and malolactic fermentation in new French barrels. The aging in the barrel was made during 48 months with three rackings in that period.
Aging:
48 months in new French barrels
