Tasting Notes:

  • Color: Garnet Picota.
  • Nose: Fine, good intensity, aromas of red acid fruit, toffee, balsamicos (menthol), nice vegetable, cocoa, red licorice.
  • Mouth: Tasty, aromatic, fluid, balanced, balsamic and juicy sensation. Souvenirs of acid red fruit (strawberry). Greedy. Good end of mouth.

Elaboration and Aging

In this case it is a single- Garnacha , Perhaps the only one of the whole denomination of origin of Jumilla , And that carries with it all the genetics of the signature of Jose Maria Vicente . It is a wine from a single plot, such as those dedicated to the Monastrell, Syrah and Cabernet grapes, and performs the alcoholic fermentation in underground wineries.
The main novelty of El Molar is that its breeding, after the malolactic fermentation in barrel to reduce excess acidity, is made in fudres. These are large deposits of wood, commonly used in areas where there is a long aging and with the least contact with the wood favors a slower and longer oxygenation. Its use is very common with the reductive varieties, case of the wines of Rhone, in the French southeast, or Nebiolo of the Italian Piedmont.

With these references in upbringing, it is no wonder that El Molar already has a name of its own. Elaborated at 100% with garnacha, the very essence of the Levante, is a fresh and delicate wine . Aging: 12 months in large barrels (Fudres)
