Tasting Note:
- Picota cherry color.
- Aroma of red fruits, lactic, balsamic tones.
- Tasty, powerful palate, good slightly drying tannins, bitter background.
Production and Aging: 100% monastrell from the valley area. Fermented in stainless steel tanks with temperature control, short fermentation and gentle maceration of the skins, followed by a short aging in French and American oak, in order to obtain a fresh wine where the primary aromas of the monastrell stand out.
The Cellar Casa Castillo, which is one of the most significant wineries in Jumilla, has become increasingly famous since its first harvest in 1991. The family that owns it started a project to produce quality wines in 1985. The old buildings were rebuilt and replaced by more modern warehouses.
