Perelada Finca Malaveïna is a red wine made by the Castillo de Perelada winery in the D.O. Empordà, in the northeast corner of the Iberian Peninsula.
The grapes come from a single estate, Finca Malaveïna, located in the town of Garriguella, in the Alt Empordà. There are 19 hectares of slopes overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
It has a perfect balance between fruit and oak, combining spices with chocolate and many fruits of the forest.

Tasting notes:

Ruby red color.
On nose aromas of fruit, red fruit, chocolate and balsamic notes.
In mouth it is intense, elegant, round and expressive. With good acidity and freshness.

Elaboration and Ageing:

Perelada Finca Malaveïna is made with a blend of Merlot, Garnacha and Syrah varieties.
The harvest is done manually, making a selection in the vineyard itself. Each variety is vinified separately. The grapes are macerated for a long time before fermentation, which takes place at a controlled temperature of 25ºC. Finca Malaveïna is aged for 21 months in new Bordeaux barrels of French Allier oak.
