Laya is a young red wine that combines the qualities of the Garnacha tintorera and Monastrell varieties in the undiscovered appellation of Almansa. It is a mature wine, very fruity and with character. It is mainly characterised by its balance and freshness.
TASTING NOTES:
Sight: Bright and clean cherry red colour.
Nose: Elegant, fresh and complex with ripe fruit and floral notes.
Palate: Pleasant and fresh on the palate, balanced and with sweet but youthful tannins, with an original and interesting passage through the mouth and a long, sweet finish.
APPELLATION OF ORIGIN: Almansa.
WINEMAKING: Made with 70% Garnacha and 30% Monastrell.
AGEING: Aged in French oak barrels for 4 months.
CURIOSITIES: The grapes for its production come from vineyards planted in sandy soils with a high concentration of limestone at their base, at altitudes of between 700 and 1,000 metres. The area has a continental climate, with rainfall of less than 350 mm per year.
Laya is an excellent wine, with unbeatable value for money. It is also highly rated by leading wine experts.
