A vintage with very good production and very good ripening, obtaining very fruity and tasty wines, the spring was very rainy which allowed the plant to develop vigorously and then the summer was mild without temperature peaks which allowed a slow ripening of the grapes to their optimum point.
Tasting notes:
- Intense cherry red color of high layer.
- Pleasant and intense complex aroma. It combines in a balanced way the aromas of the grape, fruit in liquor, black fruits, with those of good upbringing, burnt wood, tobacco and wet earth.
- In mouth it surprises its power joined to a silky step. It fills the mouth with hints of liquorice, butter and charcoal.
Elaboration and Ageing:It is the result of an exhaustive coupage of its vineyards of 40% Syrah, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 7% Malbec. Each variety was fermented separately and then assembled. It has remained for 10 months in French oak barrels.
Curiosities:Martúe is a Toledana Winery with its own D.O. In 2009, Martúe obtained the coveted qualification of Vinos de Pago under the D.O. Pago Campo de La Guardia. This certification guarantees that the wines are made with grapes from the estate, being the faithful expression of the terroir in which it is found.
