Tasting Note:
- Color: Opaque red-black, purple color.
- Nose: Intense aroma of blackberries with a touch of smoked wood and sweet vanilla, ending with notes of dark chocolate.
- Mouth: The flavors of black fruits dominate especially wild blackberries and dried plums.
Elaboration and aging:
For its elaboration a peculiar maceration is carried out during 4-5 days. The total fermentation is 15-20 days in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 22º to 26º. It is aged in American oak barrels for 12 months.
Curiosities: The Wine Advocate - Luis Gutierrez - eRobertParker.com # 231 - June 2017: There is a new pure Syrah developed together with the
Australian winemaker Chris Ringland , bottled for the first time in 2013, although I have already tried the
Zarihs of 2014 . It occurs with a
Australian clone of the grape planted in Borja in 2002 . Forty percent of the volume aged in new American oak barrels. The nose is very tasteful Ringland, ripe and somewhat warm, a palate with toasted notes and cured meat, a flamboyant smoky, and a delicate nuance of sweet spices that comes from American oak. Powerful and tasty,
a delicious Syrah and extraordinarily rich in nuances , with a solid toasted and balsamic character.
Borja with Australian accent , with a brilliant style, a great price, and good guarding potential.
