Tasting Notes:
- Color Red pillory with violet edging, medium-high layer.
- In nose Lots of ripe red fruit, balsamicos, tobacco and some slight alcoholic tip but that does not bother too much.
- I'm going through mouth Silky but with a good volume. Lots of fruit in the mouth, soft tannin, well integrated wood, good acidity, balanced. Do not get tired of drinking, one glass asks for another. Quite long.
Elaboration and Aging
The Eguren Family wants to transmit the identity and inheritance of this land in this Monovarietal of Tinta de Toro that is made from its vineyards between 15 and 20 years old, of high intensity of planting and very little production. It ages 6 months in French oak barrels and the result is a wine that combines the power and elegance of the bull's ink.
Curiosities:
Teso La Monja is the winery that gives continuity to the Eguren family in the D.O. Toro after selling Numanthia Termes to the group Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy. To achieve its purpose of producing "supervinos" in Toro, the Eguren (artifices of several of the best wines of Spain) have 90 hectares of vineyard between 35 and 130 years old and magnificent facilities according to the magnitude of the project.
