Tasting notes:- Cherry red colour, well covered.
- On the nose, pleasant aromas of wild fruit, balsamic, dairy, fine toast and toffee caramel stand out.
- On the palate it is fleshy, with a great deal of fruit, structured and full-bodied. It transmits a sensation of red, black and wild fruit, smoked, coffee. It has a persistent finish with a complex and aromatic retro-olfaction.
Elaboration and aging:It comes from a selection of 79 micro plots of an average of 0.30 has in the surroundings of Laguardia. The vineyard was goblet planted between 1945 and 1954 in a calcareous clay soil and has an average yield of 4,000 kg/ha.
The grapes are harvested by hand in 15-kg boxes and manually selected on selection tables. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and malolactic fermentation takes place in the barrel.
Aging is 1
2 months in fine grain French oak.
