Luís Gurpegui Muga Tempranillo 2017

Tasting Notes:

• Red color with garnet irises, medium intensity.
• Fresh nose with aromas of black fruit, licorice, chocolate and spices.
• In the mouth it is an elegant wine, round, pleasant and with a long retronasal.

Elaboration and Aging:

Made with 100% Tempranillo grapes peromace in barrels 70% American barrel and 30% French barrel for 6 months.

Curiosities:

In the early years of the twentieth century there were in La Rioja groups of coopers who wandered through the wineries to repair and make casks. A cooper was like that Primitive Gurpegui Wall . In one of his trips he met a girl from Haro Bibiana Muga , With the finally married. Before marrying and in order to receive the consent, he decided to make his fortune in America, emigrating to Mendoza Argentina, to work as a cooper and later as a winemaker, learning there new techniques for the time. In 1921 he returned to Spain and found in San Adrian his own winery with his own vineyards and neighbors , To which he paid once he sold the wine.
