TASTING NOTES
- Appearance: High layer maroon color.
- Nose: Aromas of red fruit accompanied by delicate menthol notes, black pepper, cinnamon and toasted. At the end we can appreciate a subtle mineral touch.
- Palate: Silky, with fine and sweet tannins providing structure. Refreshing with hints of coffee sweet.
ELABORATION
Variety: 100% Tempranillo.
Aged 13 months in barrels and 6 in bottles.
CURIOSITIES
Cosme Palacios was an essential figure in the political and social life of Bilbao at the end of the 19th century. In 1894 Cosme Palacio Bermejillo inherited the family winery founded by his father in Laguardia in 1863, making it the most advanced winery in Rioja Alavesa. Thanks to his vision of the future and the wine reference of the moment, Bordeaux, introduced changes that would lay the foundations of modern Rioja wine.Today, the Cosme Palacio winery is internationally recognized for being the union between the style of Classic Rioja and Modern Rioja.
