Horizonte de Exopto is a red wine with a strong Rioja identity, structure and volume, which seeks a modern, intense style, with more colour and just the right amount of oak. This wine shares with the rest of the winery's wines the same blending philosophy that seeks to produce a harmonious red wine with complex nuances.
TASTING NOTES:
Sight: Deep ruby red colour.
Nose: Aromas of red and black fruits with spicy and smoky touches.
Palate: In the mouth it has intense flavours of very clean and pure black fruit. With silky tannins. Very long mineral finish. And with great balance between intensity and finesse.
APPELLATION OF ORIGIN: Rioja.
WINEMAKING: Made with Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano varieties.
AGEING: Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
CURIOSITIES: The basis of Bodegas Exopto's work is the location of very different plots of land, taking into account the soils and orientations. As for the grape varieties, they work with the three historic Riojan varieties: Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano, with each of them playing a leading role in three different wines. Finally, when the work is transferred to the winery, the previous parameters of plots and grapes are used to define the type of material (wood, concrete and stainless steel) with which the wines will be fermented, as well as the winemaking method (pigeage, pumping over, static).
