Vivanco Viura-Tempranillo white-Maturana white, becomes the first wine from Rioja and the world made with this unique blend. Starting with the traditional Viura variety as the main component of the wine (50%), two minority grapes exclusive to Rioja are incorporated for the first time: Tempranillo white and Maturana white. The three varieties come from the Vivanco family's own vineyards in different Rioja terroirs.
They have their own vineyards in Briones, Rioja Alta (Viura) with a strong Atlantic influence, and in Tudelilla, Rioja Oriental, in a vineyard at 700 metres above sea level located in the Sierra Carbonera mountains (white Tempranillo and white Maturana).
Each variety is harvested by hand in small boxes and separately. All the grapes remain in cold storage for 36 hours before being processed at the selection table. In the second week of September, the white Tempranillo and at the end of the same month, the rest of the varieties.
Each variety is made separately. After a brief cold maceration (6-10 hours), the must is fermented in small stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature (12-15 ºC) to preserve all the varietal expression. The wines obtained remain in contact with their lees in the tank for 4 months to preserve the varietal aromas and give them greater harmony and smoothness in the mouth.
