Elaboration and Aging:
Made with grapes of the varieties Tempranillo (85%), Graciano (10%) and Mazuelo (5%) . Aging 26 months in new and pre-new American oak barrels with 5 racks.
Curiosities:
Felix Martinez Lacuesta started with his brothers selling wines and soft drinks in Haro. Since 1895 the Martinez Lacuesta winery continues to belong exclusively to this family. Felix Martinez Lacuesta was the first president of the National Association of Vintners and Wine Industries, as well as of the Union of Wines of La Rioja, and one of the precursors of the Regulatory Council of the D.O. Rioja, representing the winemakers. The Denomination would not become official until 1926 and will be partly thanks to its efforts.
