Tasting Notes:
- From color Purple. Violent flashes of abundant, colored, dense tear.
- In nose High aromatic intensity with notes of black fruits and ripe arum, a very marked mineral profile that together with notes from the barrel such as vanilla, spices and tobacco endow this wine with great character. The Tempranillo variety is very marked and well integrated with the barrel.
- In mouth The attack is greasy and intense with greedy trajectory, showing great fineness. Acidity balanced with alcohol predominating the typical freshness of the Valpiedras. Long finish, mineral, with memories of fine woods and great freshness.
Elaboration and aging
An exceptionally positive situation characterizes Finca Valpiedra. All the grapes that are used to make these wines are located inside the farm that surrounds the winery which is very beneficial for the same since there is no transport.
In the barrel, the wines age 12 months, thus achieving the organoleptic characteristics that were sought. They only use new barrels of French and American oak. The aging is 12 months in French (70%) and American (30%) oak barrels.
