The vineyard: The location of the vineyards at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria offers the perfect conditions for producing such balanced and quality wines. They have 39 hectares of their own, plus 75 controlled hectares, which reflect their work philosophy, respect for the vineyard and nature. From Castillo de Osés they have wanted to dedicate the range of Choza wines to all those who at some point in their lives worked in the fields.
Vinification: Selected manual harvest of 60 Ha. of the 150 Ha. that the winery controls.
Elaboration: This wine is made by de-stemming with 6 to 7 days of fermentation, and then adding 10 or 15 days of maceration. Ageing: French and American oak in equal parts for 12 months with periodic rackings every 6 months.
Tasting notes:
Sight: It is clean and bright, with iodised tones. It has a violet colour with bluish tones that denote freshness and youth.
Nose: High intensity, aromas of ripe fruit. Notes of vanilla and hazelnut.
Palate: Smooth thanks to its ageing in wood with a notable presence of ripe fruit.
