Vivanco Crianza is a red wine from the Rioja produced by Bodegas Vivanco. This winery is located in the town of Briones, La Rioja Alta.
Vivanco Crianza is 100% made from the Tempranillo variety. The grapes come from vineyards of between 15 and 20 years old located in different plots of Briones. The soil where the vineyards are planted is of a ferrous clay character.
Vivanco Crianza production begins with a manual harvest in small 10kg boxes during the first week of October. Once in the winery, the must is fermented by gravity in French oak tanks, where it ferments and macerates in contact with the skins at a controlled temperature of 28ºC for 20 days.
Once the vinification process is complete, Vivanco Crianza ages for 16 months in French and American oak barrels with regular racking. Finally, the wine is completed in the bottle and left to settle for a minimum of 6 months.
